History

In the 1950s, Solvay was one of the very first manufacturers of PVC. Solvay provided its customers with ready formulated products jointly with specific technical advice, as PVC needs additives to be properly processed. Since then, Solvay Benvic has kept on developing new and innovative coumpounds and premix formulations to answer its customers needs in more and more diversified markets.

A Business Unit approach

Solvay Benvic is part of the Vinyls Strategic Business Unit within Solvay Plastics, the plastics division of the Solvay group.
The Compounds activity of the SBU is structured around Solvay Benvic operating plants in Europe (Belgium, France, Italy and Spain) and joint ventures such as Dacarto Benvic in Brazil and Soligran in Russia.
The Solvay Group's extensive knowledge of PVC resins (of which it is one of the world's largest producers) as well as the long experience in formulation has made Solvay Benvic a world leader in PVC compounds.
