Social & environmental responsibility

Our ESG strategy is built around the concept of stakeholders, with six different parties involved: Customers, Employees, Planet, Investors, Suppliers and Communities. Our stakeholders give meaning to our efforts towards a brighter future. We aspire to contribute to their added value and to ensure economic, social and environmental sustainability.

Employees

Employees

Benvic’s success is built upon its employees’ dedication and expertise. We promote equal opportunity, quality social dialogue, and enforce safeguards to avoid discrimination in hiring and employment. We also do everything in our power to ensure their health and safety. Beyond that, we have implemented programs to develop employees’ skills and offer in-house career development. Our biggest reward is the strong commitment to the company our staff demonstrates over the years. We vow to remain worthy of their trust and remarkable performance.

Planet

Planet

We promote environmental management. Our local environmental teams, in each of our plants, are lending their support to safeguard the environment. At a Corporate level, we take actions to reduce our GHG emissions and achieve carbon-neutrality. Our recycling activities and our latest business lines, such as Plantura, complement our goal to conserve natural resources and limit our environmental impact.

Clients

Clients

Our relationship with our clients is the motor of Benvic’s innovation. Their needs are our guides to creating better and more sustainable products. Customer support is a crucial part of our business model, allowing us to work closely with our clients and contribute to their added value. In the future, we intend to keep strengthening our sustainable relationships with our customers and develop a collaborative approach to ESG with them.

Suppliers

Suppliers

The quality of our products is directly related to the quality of the raw materials we work with. To maintain our quality standard, we need to be exceedingly demanding towards our suppliers. In order to reach our ESG commitments, we also need to work with ethically sourced materials. We must ensure that our providers respect human rights and the environment, as we do.
Over more than 50 years, we sought to find the most efficient and ethical suppliers. We have established a relation based on trust with our five main providers, knowing we can rely on them as they can rely on us.

Investors

Investors

We seek a direct dialogue with our investors as we are looking to create lasting value through engagement and communication. We focus on information sharing, fair working conditions, corporate ethics, risk management and ensuring compliance with good management.

Communities

Communities

We wish to contribute to local communities' development, by encouraging our employees to volunteer in local development programs and initiatives.

Our commitment to SDG's

Benvic Group’s ESG project is driven by the signature of the “United Nation Global Compact”, which is the world’s widest corporate social responsibility initiative.
We have developed an ambitious action plan to achieve the sustainable development goals set by the United Nation. We have notably created an ESG / SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) team of 20 employees directly involved in the implementation of local ESG & SHE actions.
We are confident that SDGs are attainable and worth our efforts, and we pledge to make concrete and quantifiable progress towards their realisation through our ESG plan and beyond. In order to focus and optimise our impact, we have identified two SDGs with which Benvic can offer the greatest potential impact:

SDG 3

SDG 3

Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
By complying with REACH regulations and drastically reducing our CO2 footprint.
By forsaking hazardous raw materials whenever possible.
By enforcing strict controls of our plants to preserve our employees’ and customers’ health.

SDG 12

SDG 12

Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
By promoting quality manufacturing and long-term use.
By supporting sustainable consumption and production, notably through recycling and bio-based solutions.
By reducing the environmental impact of our manufacturing process.
