2024 sustainability report

The Benvic group is proud to release its 2024 ESG report, a thorough examination of our progress as a company firmly committed to sustainable business.

The acceleration of our sustainability journey

“This year’s report reflects not only our achievements but also the acceleration of our sustainability journey. In recent years, we have devoted significant efforts to building solid reporting and monitoring frameworks. These helped us better understand our impact on employees, customers, partners, and the planet. In 2024, we moved further, centring our roadmap on products that combine innovation and sustainability, protecting both human health and the environment.” Luc Mertens, CEO

New achievements

This report is the occasion to celebrate some of our many successes:

  • 2024 is the fifth year that Benvic has been carbon neutral, and we continue to reduce our emissions every year
  • Our sites run on 100% renewable energy
  • Our biennial survey shows a high level of employee satisfaction (88%)
  • All of our suppliers have now been assessed on sustainability
  • For the third year, Benvic has obtained EcoVadis’ gold medal, ranking amongst the best 5% in our industry
  • Our ESG team created and implemented an in-house system to generate Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for each of our formulas
  • With the help of our Innovation Department, the same team finalised Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for our principal range of products (ProVinyl—the first EPDs were published in 2025).
  • Our Policies, Codes of Conduct and Whistleblowing System have been shared with all our stakeholders

And much more, that you can discover in the report itself.

New features

Some of the novelties of this years’ report include interviews with valued stakeholders showing how Benvic innovates by integrating ESG aspects (pp. 44–45), concrete examples of how Benvic addresses sustainability challenges in tandem with its customers (pp. 32–33), and an explanation of our improved method of emission calculation by our ESG manager, Marta Fernandez (pp. 28–29).

New goals

Building on these successes, we are confident in our 2030 goals (p. 27), which include tripling the production of products with recycled content, reducing GHG emissions intensity by 60% (Scopes 1 and 2) and 15% (Scope 3) respectively, and providing specific training to all our employees to increase safety and guarantee respect of Ethics and Human Rights.

Transparency and partnership are key

Our successes are but the start of our journey, and they give us strength to address the remaining challenges ahead. We trust our readers to reach out to our ESG team if specific subjects are of particular interest, or if they have suggestions and potential improvements to share. Transparency and partnership are key to our common sustainable future. We are proud to contribute to the global effort for successful and respectful business through our 2024 ESG report.
