Benvic brings platinum grade excellence to PRSE 2026, May 5-6 Amsterdam

Driving circularity with advanced recycled polymer solutions

Europe’s leading polymer compounder Benvic returns to the 10th Anniversary Edition of Plastics Recycling Show Europe, Amsterdam, with a greatly expanded portfolio of recycled grades that now embraces recycled engineering plastics as well as various polypropylene-based recyclates.

"Benvic will use the Amsterdam show to demonstrate new recycled materials and to also help businesses navigate the complex waters of upcoming directives in relation to ESPR (Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation) and End of Life Vehicle (ELV) rules for automotive manufacturing, to name but two EU developments."

Eric Grange, Benvic Marketing Director

‘Circular economies are here to stay,’ notes Eric, ‘and more and more specifiers and OEMs are now requiring plastics processors to step up to the new paradigm. New EU ESPR rules, for example, require plastics products to contain a minimum of 25% post-consumer recyclate content by the year 2030. For many plastics processors that is quite a challenge.’

Tightening automotive regulations accelerate demand for recycled plastics

The future of Europe’s automotive sector is no less stringent with 15% PCR demanded in use by 2032 - with a move to 25% in 2036 - and with 20% of this total to be from circularity within Europe’s automotive economy.

‘Benvic is ready right now to help Europe’s supply chains meet all of these upcoming challenges on a case-by-case basis,’ says Eric. ‘PRSE provides us with a welcome meeting point in the annual landscape to take stock of all the horizons and to adjust our portfolio accordingly. We expect to hold many discussions and discover many recycling opportunities – planned and unexpected – at the show,’ he adds.

And if there were any doubt about the depth of Benvic’s commitment to its environmental expertise and its core mission statement – Redesigning plastics. For good – then the company’s recent winning of the EcoVadis Platinum certificate has settled the matter.

‘Benvic customers, competitors and stake holders know that our EcoVadis Platinum certification puts us in the top 1% of this sector,’ says Eric.

The achievement is founded on Benvic’s sixty plus years of material compounding expertise and recent leadership in re-compounding and recycling, including our

  • Huge material formulation capabilities
  • In house testing and certification programmes – with QA and traceability
  • Performance compounds including recyclate

Ready‑to‑use recycled solutions for demanding applications

Benvic’s formulation and production know-how in polypropylene compounds (the company’s DotCore brand) also allows it to integrate a significant fraction of post-consumer recyclate (PRC). All Benvic’s PP grades – including talc, calcium carbonate and glass filled - are eligible for this recycling improvement with a simple target: to keep the material performance as close as possible to the virgin one which is the backbone of the recycled compound range, DotCore.

Benvic will therefore use May’s PRSE 2026 exhibition to demonstrate that it is ‘ready to go’ with a range of recyclates across all sectors for the DotCore range, including several new recycled thermoplastic propositions focused on polyamides and ABS.

Aside new recycled base thermoplastic compounds, France-based Benvic Recycling continues to be an ‘engine’ in PVC mechanical recycling developments, receiving significant investment regarding sorting, homogenization, and regeneration. The business now produces secondary raw materials (SRM) that are not only fit for new European regulations - such as legacy additive compliance - but are also able to meet specific testing requirements such as QB34 for building applications.
